None of the polishes that might be part of the blend were tested on animals. The creatrix recommends two standard coats + a top coat for a finished look and feel. We prefer three thin coats so we can better control where the glitter ends up + a top coat. Our photo of the polish in action is three thin coats, plus Seche Vite. For removal, we recommend soaking a pad with nail polish remover and letting it sit on your nail for a few minutes before trying to scrub.
