25th Anniversary Voltron
ThinkGeek :: Stuff for Smart Masses

“Everyone knows that this is the real Voltron, but we don’t envy Commander Keith. After all, being the CEO of Defender of the Universe, Inc. is a demanding job. You have to keep the Blazing Sword sharpened at all times. You have to manage the environmental impact of destroying toxic Robeasts on your own planet. You have to wonder when Sven is going to show up and steal the Blue Lion or say something mystical or philosophical that you can’t even begin to understand. Why didn’t Sven just die like he did in the Japanese version?!? Really, it’s not like Commander Keith doesn’t have enough trouble with Lance always cracking wise and Hunk eating all the Fruit Loops. He can barely get Pidge to focus long enough to get in the Green Lion let alone fly the thing in a straight line… Alright… Fine! Sven is ten times the pilot that Princess Allura will ever be, but it doesn’t really matter. Allura pilots the Blue Lion and she wears a pink jumpsuit, because she’s the ruler of the Kingdom of Altair and she pays the bills. Are you happy now? In any case, we’re sure that Prince Lotor would like to get his hands on this gorgeous 25th Anniversary Voltron set. Sadly for the son of Zarkon, Princess Allura is not included. However, all five transformable lions are in the set and when you assemble them to form Voltron he’ll stand an 12″” tall with Blazing Sword and Shield in hand/paw/mouth. Actually, this brings up a good question: Why doesn’t Voltron have a thumb? How can you be Defender of the Universe without a thumb? Put this 1:197 scale replica on your desk and take bets on who says “”FORM FEET AND LEGS”" vs. “”I’ll FORM THE HEAD”". Use the questions above to continue the conversation until you get to the inevitable debate of Lion Force vs. Vehicle Team.”

Hydrodynamic Building Set
ThinkGeek :: Stuff for Smart Masses

Water is everywhere. It covers 71% of the Earth’s surface and composes about 112% of the human body. Gaining control over water would be an awesome super power, but for now we are stuck with using science to master water. Good thing someone invented this Hydrodynamic Building Set. It makes science fun again. But this kit isn’t a simple connect the dots – you have to do some thinking! Why? Read on! The instruction manual shows you how the girders connect, how to build the various tanks, and some rendered images of completed projects – but not step-by-step. Your entire model gets built up from the bottom of the carrying case, which acts as the water reservoir and also has a special footing to be the structure’s foundation. Level by level, you build your support frame and add your tanks. Then connect all the tubes, add in the valves, and turn on the electric pump. If you’ve done it right, you’ll have an awesome construction everyone will marvel at (a little food coloring helps). Fail and you’re all wet – quite probably literally. And Kids: Build something with this kit for a Science Fair Project and you are guaranteed to win (this guarantee not guaranteed)!

Singing Monkey Balls
ThinkGeek :: Stuff for Smart Masses

There’s a door in ThinkGeek HQ which leads to another dimension (and no, we don’t mean the bathroom). In this other dimensional Earth, which we call Moorhtab, Spock has a beard and monkeys are as plentiful and beautiful as butterflies (and they fly too). It is indeed a great sight to see a flock of Moorhtabian Monkeys chiming in the wind. They chime because of the magnetic stones they carry in their little sacks. It was such an unusual noise, we knew we had to find a way to share it with you, our customers. Lucky for us, Moorhtabian Monkeys love string cheese, so a giant trade deal was made. Now, it is our pleasure to present, for this first time in this dimension, Singing Monkey Balls. A few tips & tricks for your Singing Monkey Balls… The Spinner – Start off by clasping the Monkey Balls between your thumb and two fingers. Squeezing gently will spin the Monkey Balls briefly in the air, producing a mysterious whistle. Try spinning them from one hand into the other. The higher into the air you spin them, the longer they whistle. (Please be sure no real Monkeys are in the vicinity when trying this trick, they may become disturbed.) The Pendulum – Hold one Monkey ball between your fingers and thumb, then attach the second ball to the bottom of the first. Gently swing the balls back and forth like a pendulum. For an even greater challenge, see how close you can bring the second Monkey Ball to perpendicular before they clash together. The Pinch – Place the Monkey Balls on a smooth surface, pinch the ends together with your thumb and forefinger, then release. The balls will emit a pleasant fluttering sound as they spin around the surface. Experiment with different surfaces to produce varying noises. WARNING: This product is very magnetic. Always keep a safe distance (at least 20 inches) from magnetic storage media and sensitive electronic equipment such as: portable hard disks, pacemakers, credit cards, laptops and especially CRT monitors! PLEASE NOTE: Singing Monkey Balls are not indestructible. Only kryptonite is indestructible and ThinkGeek does not carry that yet. Avoid dropping the balls onto hard surfaces. Never ever ingest them and keep them away from live monkeys.

Pentago
ThinkGeek :: Stuff for Smart Masses

“Pentago was developed in Sweden: the land of Vikings, ABBA, and Ikea. Following the simplicity of design Sweden is known for, Pentago has clean lines and simple game play. In fact, it has just two play steps. First, put down a marble. Second, rotate a quadrant. Get five marbles in a row and you win. That’s it. Game play may be simple, but winning can be as hard as a Viking’s axe. Because you can rotate quadrants, your mind has to plan out moves in so many different directions. And just when you think you have everything thought out, your opponent rotates a quadrant and suddenly the whole board is different. Pentago is so cerebrally challenging, it won the Mensa Select Award in 2006 (as well as a bunch of other genius and game design awards). Each game board is handcrafted out of solid birch with aluminum accents and includes real glass marbles. Pentago is as beautiful as it is fun. And if you become a Pentago Master, no one will be able to deny you the title of “”genius!”"”
