Scientists yesterday reported startling new evidence of an atmospheric phenomenon which they’ve named the Tropospheric Staircase. Experts from St. Teresa Fordson University have identified a key mechanism by which objects traverse the atmosphere, overshadowing other atmospheric phenomena such as the jetstream, which is caused by solar heating. The Staircase seems to be unaffected by temperature or solar activity, researchers say. First observed in 1978, the Staircase involves the horizontal and vertical movement of objects through the troposphere, the lowest atmospheric layer. Groups of objects move horizontally one direction to a specific identifiable point, then drop down through the troposphere, and repeat the migration the opposite direction until they reach the Earth’s surface. Experts say they are unsure of the exact location of the objects’ initial migratory starting point but report it could be somewhere past our own solar system. This all-over print (it goes all the way around the shirt), inspired by Space Invaders, is on a dove grey babydoll (fitted) t-shirt. Note: Please reference the table below to choose your size. We don’t know about you, but we’ve always wondered where Tetris blocks come from. Do they appear out of thin air by magic? Are they chips off an old block? When a Mommy and a Daddy block love each other very much, do they make baby blocks? No, no, and no. As some keen investigative photographers have discovered, Tetris blocks are intrepid skydivers, jumping from airplanes high above the Earth and plummeting to the ground at great speeds. Did we mention they don’t use parachutes? So brave, they are. Such brave little blocks. They know that somewhere down there, someone will nudge and flip them into the correct position and they’ll slide effortlessly into place. Tetris, geek friends, is a big exercise in trust. So before you mash the down arrow and give up, think of the blocks. They are counting on you. This is an authentic Glennz t-shirt, full of New Zealand-y goodness. Printed on a royal blue, 100% fine jersey cotton babydoll (fitted) t-shirt, this design features an airplane with Tetris blocks falling from it. It’s printed on American Apparel, which fits differently than most of ThinkGeek’s shirts, so be sure to check the Sizing Info tab to ensure you select the right size.
